...of random thoughts and monopoly DEAL

Back in London again
sy invited me to stay over before we all go for hols
played monopoly Deal with him kok ming and his fren till 3
damn addictive
.....and vindictive

Had a sudden thought on my way to london...
why is there such hostility between
Christianity and Islam
whereas
Buddhism and Hinduism co-exists so peacefully
I guess Chinese and Indians dont like choi suing
and Angmohs have a knack for controlling everything they see
sigh i hate doing group work with angmohs
arrogant empty vessels
well so far anyway....

Docs Phase

Just recently
ive been watching a few documentaries
that i found of particular interest
...well actually cuz they were oscar nominated lol
but neway got into the mood these past few days
felt the urge to watch something that had some scholastic value
or mebbe i just syiok sendiri
thinking taht watching these things would make me smarter lol

Newayyyy Burma VJ was one of the docs that got nominated
and for good reason
mainly due to the difficulty of actually obtaining footage
on what goes on in the military junta ruled Burma
it was a great watch as u could relate to it
due to our proximity with them and them being in ASEAN
kinda makes u appreciate life in msia more
but then again
the politics and corruption in msia is just as appalling
go watch this
actually go watch 'Home' first since u can just you tube it
this one go channel 4.com for those of u in UK
for those of u elsewhere....tough
cuz the direct streaming sites dont offer subs
and even if they do,
it doesnt make sense lol

The other doc that deserves praise would be 'The Cove'
even though i dont realy give a fk bout dolphins
it made me care for a second
and it was quite epic when that guy walked into the IWC meeting
with a computer screen attached to his body
of what was actually happening
but wadeva man
we have bigger problems than dolphins at hand
and sides dolphins are the only living creatures on earth
that can consciously rape females
and in most case the girls die......
due to drowning la
dirty minded ppl

This won the recent academy award btw
which i felt was a rather partial decision by the guild
due to it being american
and how made-for-america-the-film-was
and u know how ignorant those fools are in the north
so yea...bet most of them dont even know where Burma is
or what Home is about
i felt that 'Home' deserved more credit than it got
hence my annoyance to the matter
its just so effin pretty
watch 'Home' NOW
GO!!
All 3 of you
that means u edine n lionel and ronald
.....who i suspect are the only ones are still reading this shit
LOL :P
Its fking free and easy for gods sake
and it took 15 bloody years
for your pleasure and enlightenment

when youre done, come comment pls

Thirsty joke?

For the thirsty portion of this
After work today,
actually i have been noticing for quite a while
just that i nvr bothered to pen it down,
i realized that europeans,
particularly british ppl
are really thirsty

Heck on the train down to london during CNY
this guy sitting opp me sharing the same table
had a six pack stored away in his bag
and he was like draining it down the pipes
by the time he was done
i tot hed had enuf
but noo...
he went to the shop and got 2 more pints
and 15 mins before our journey ended
he went off to get another
but alas the shop was closing
his face was fking red lo
reeked alcohol
felt a bit uncomfortable with him in front of me during the journey
but he held on well
shit man
8 pints....
and he didnt even need to go to the toilet
where does it all gooo
i cant even finish a half pint

neway for the second half of this post,
was watching a trailer for the movie
a tree in tanjung malim
by tan chui mui
who is freaking awesome malaysian director
but neway the joke goes like this

'Mr. Panda had only one wish....
and that was to take photographs in colour'

LOL!
ingenious

Home

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqxENMKaeCU

Wanted to embed since the whole movie is distributed freely like 'zeitgeist', but its been disabled.

Was in the mood for a documentary so i googled and got this....and what a pleasant surprise it was indeed! Though the message maybe slightly cliched, the way the movie was directed and put together was amazinggg. Almost every single frame of the documentary is like an art piece that belongs in some atelier or museum. Every scene is just brimming with colour and such an organic feel its like giving your eyes a refreshing change of candy worth feasting on.

And the narration by Glenn Close helped in conveying the message well.

Avatar took 10 years to prepare and be made.......Home took 15 years! & im so fking relieved that avatar did not win best picture at the oscars.

Rated 8.1 on IMDB, go do yourself a favour and watch this! but like i said, its slightly cliched but u have to experience this assault of perfect imagery on your eyes to believe it for yourself.

Cirque du Soleil: Varekai

Watched Varekai on thursday with ana and her bf,
ana's from brazil who happens to be my MU colleague
getting her to answer the phone was impossible
but atleast it ended well lol

Varekai was amazing!
Everyone should do themselves a favour and go for it
albeit a bit pricy
mine was on discount as im a student
but even so
it was still 45 pounds!
ana and steve had to pay 55 each

It was well worth it unlike lady GAGA
lazy bitch...
lol
It was so cool cuz u get to watch it in a tent
and the fallen angel depiction of Icarus
(the boy who flew too close to the sun
and whose wings were melted by the gods)
in the acrobatic net was fking breathtaking!
it makes u wonder what is the human limit
in terms of contortion

in terms of the choreography and music...
its magical
almost like going on a journey with the characters
and cause our seats were damn close
we got to see their facial expressions
which made it an even more immersive experience
theres just so much going on on stage at times
which i felt was its biggest downfall
as you dont know where to look and who to look at
so i missed out on a few good bits

Overall screw gaga and watch this shit!
Saltimbanco is coming in may

doggy days

Are days that i long for
but may nvr see again...
although i only had one summer hol so far
i felt like my whole life was a summer hol until i came over
but of course since its so fking cold here
im rambling lol

its just that time of year again
when you feel like youve been away for too long
and your treshold begins to reach its breaking point
of missing home i mean...

im a sentimental melodramatic sap
but who can disagree
i mean all those of you from kch
kchs just got this charm and warmth
that beckons you
haiz as michael buble would put it
'its like i just stepped outside,
when everything was good and right'

the title of this post is actually dedicated to my dog
and how much it provided me with comfort,
endearment, and company
and also cause i just watched marley & me
but dobby is obviously better looking

thats actually my lil niece from nz
my aunt kidnapped her from her mum
for 3 months
well actually she came at her own accord
as she loves cny in kch
and wants to see lions

sigh.....
talked to john a few hours ago
hes pretty down too bout being in perth atm

aiyaaa bloody thesis
gonna start cracking on it again lol
