Last nite, the lot of us malaysians gathered to celebrate the end of exams before everyone finally leaves to go home. So then they were talking bout how everyone in the airport nowadays are using surgical masks as a precautionary measure especially going to and form swinf flu infected countries.



They, being malaysian, got quite paranoid bout the whole issue when it struck msia and ordered a whole box of high-grade anti bacterial masks.....20 to be exact in a box for 35 pounds




Apparently u cant find any in boots or superdrug or any other pharmacy/medicine dispensery so ud have to order them online....wth rite






Me, being malaysian, got kiasu and bought one off them lol




Aint gonna take no chances with em pig cold!

hmmm, what can i say bout these past 3 weeks.......




well one things for sure, u neednt have to go to sparta and get ass kicked into a bottomless pit by some scantily-bordering-on-homoerotic-cladded-king-who-shouts-a-lot to find MADNESS...





shoot. this sem really brings it to a whole new level and what makes things worse are the needless and unforseeable sh*t thats happening between it. Murphy's Law eh? take heed those of u who are currently going through the climax of this seemingly undying storm.






ok la mebbe a little bit too dramatic. but what happened to me was that when i had to submit my assignment electronically at 4pm the next day with presentations and group meetings and exams all breathing down my neck, suddenly my effing laptop's capasitor/charger sparked and short circuited while i was halfway doing my work. *&^%#@$#%^@* omfg u wouldnt want to have met me on that day.





then what happened next was technically my fault but i was in a frantic and distraught condition that prevented me from thinking straight. I took out my test pen screwdriver and started testing whether current was still running through the wires. It was not lighting up.







sooo, then i thought 'could be the test pen's prob....better try it with a surefire electrical current'







I unscrewed the bulb off my all-time-favorite bendable apit-G desk lamp.....switched on the current and stuck the screwdriver into it and BOOMM baby. sparks flew everywhere and i got slightly burned.....like seriously. suffice to say, the desk lamp died. i was sooo sad ....that desk lamp had been there for me through thick and thin, through spm-college and now.






haizz.....then i sat down for a while and thought bout what to do next. i realized i still had my battery pack that had about an hour left of life and i knew i had to find a shop or a charger replacement online and back up my work in that short but hopeful expanse of time.






I google mapped all the sony resselers i could find in manc. city and any comp shop for that matter but was dissapointed to find only 4 potential ones. what made things worse was that they close at 6pm (it was already 5 45pm) and open after 10 30am. So i looked up vaio chargers to get an intial idea of how much it was going to set me back.....







omfg.....they went for 95 pounds and above just for a stupid brick that supplies power. It was a totally unecessary blow to a person whos already on his knees begging for mercy. wadeva....gotta do waht u gotta do rite and at the worst timing possible, desperation drove me.






My resolve was to chill out and get my head clear of all the crap thats been happening and get to bed early to be able to wake up early to chiong for a replacement charger and finish my work on time. I knew it could only get better from an all time low....






So then i got out of the house with my laptop the nxt day and it started to drizzle when i reached the city....shitty mancunian weather. i first tried the sony store in arndale and asked the people there whether they could check my crager for me just in case if it were a minor wiring prob, then it could be fixed without much expense. then the guy went 'Oh sry but were not technicians and i dont know anything bout servicing electronics......here(slams a similar charger on the table) 98 pounds. its not the same but itll work, trust me but u must buy it before i open and let u test it out' The guy was wearing a regional manager tag. i was not convinced. aiseh trying to trick me ar? har?? mahai







then i took off and said that ill be back after thinking bout it but in actual fact i was heading for the debenhams sony branch and found the people there to be much friendlier and sincere with helping. he sold me the exact unit, albeit a bit newer in version, but assured me that i could open and try it before purchasing. he even was kind enough to run simple wubstitution of wire tests to check if it was actually a simple case of a blown fuse or head.





but alas, it was indeed the chargers problem and i knew i had to get it replaced. he was letting it go for 97 pounds. i told him straight that its riduculously overpriced.....i mean for a stupid brick add another 200 pounds and can get a brand new dell lo.






i know i was becoming a bit hypocritical at this point as i initially didnt care how much it cost just as long as it works and i handed in my assignment on time. but i knew that id be able to find a better deal somewhere...







and thennnnn....after saying ill be back after thinking bout it the second time........i found this dodgy little corner electronics shop owned by pakistanis and middle easterners. *zohan suddenly pops into my mind* i shook it off and walked in regardless just to try my luck.






the shop was indeed dodgy as hell as it was a hub for weirdos and geeks(id prolly fall into this category) alike. there was this fat obnoxious wierdo that talked, farted and burped like so obviously loud.....i swear i wanted to punch him so hard. its so stereotypical of a joint like that.






I told them bout my problem and they said 'OH! thats(referring to my charger) broken. *throws some dodgy china made universal power adaptor onto the table* 29.99!'







i was really put off by it at first but i decided to let them test it on my laptop and it worked. though a bit wary, i just went for it without thinking anymore as i saw it as more than a 70% discounted solution that worked fine. so wadeva la, i only needed a replacement for another month before ill be able to replace the charger with the warranty i have which wasnt international and only coverred claiming at the shop of purchase.





i got back in time and pia-ed my assignment. the adapter still works up till today. alls well if it ends well.

What the heck man......its like easter break in just over a weeks time. this sem is like killing me man....time is like passing by so damn fast








whats more in tried and true uk fashion, the breaks are essentially study/assignment breaks and not pure hols.........mannnnn wassup with that!

wooohoooo yesterday was a bit crazy at work considering i had to get up at 7 am and start cycling at 7 45 just to get there by 8 30....

omgosh when the match ended, suddenly all those tu lan faces swarmed the restaurant lo and boy oh boy were they TU LAN! bin aneh O man!





summore it was the first time i spilled my whole tray of lager over a woman and her coat(mu fan) lol but she still tip me 6 pounds in the end i think out of pity cuz i was like apologizing profusely hahah am i good or am i good? *syiok sendiri*






naturally there were fights and one occured just right outside this building called the 'liverpool warehouse co.' right outside the stadium hahahaha. u shud have seen all the security and police they hired for the match that day....gila man. guess thats y nobody dared to spark something within the stadium grounds

speaking of work(assignments and stuff)....im in like omg mode right now lo, if i knew it was going to be this much i would have reconsidered my easter plans but too late, its all been booked. panicking now lo!

hmm i really wonder sometimes how is it possible for an anime to make someone feel so hollow........




kinda only referring to 'clannad after story'.....celaka la so emofying wan shudnt have started watching. this has got to be one of the sweetest and most human animes ive ever watched(though quirky moments are still present). such a sad sad story which ultimately led to despair.... seemingly so hopeful yet so tragic..........:S






But, this was one anime worth mentioning lo, being able to take u on a journey as the characters grow through high-school life and then adulthood and the loneliness and harshness of reality that sets in.....well mebbe cuz i personally feel were all going through that phase atm, while having family as the central theme.








the creators did a bloody brilliant job of creating characters u can connect to and palpably feel.

on a totally different side note, i have recently developed a fetish for frequenting the exorbitantly priced tropical fruits section of tesco lo and of course always end up buying something

This time round was a frikkin cantaloupe.....bloody pain in an ass to carry round man especially if u have milk, juice, rice, and pasta sauces in the mix

but man oh man....how i missed the taste and fragrance of one

Passion Fruit

Ive always taken for granted that u could only get passion fruits in their syrupy/liquid form. Im sure all have tried the nutrijuice version of it from cosway back home.



But neway i found like the real thing at tesco the other day and had to try them as ive always been curious bout what they look and taste like in their most original form regardless of its cost lol :S

First thing that i noticed was how frikkin small they were.....bloody nutrijuice label can be very decieving i tell u....or it could just be these breed of passion fruits

No bigger than ure average kalamansi(is that how u spell it?)

So as i cut them into halves, i noticed how weird the skins were....almost like leather no kidding man. but like as they opened, it released this magnificent alluring aroma....

The smell was so frikkin good i tell u its to die for....almost didnt bother washing my knife :p

More like wasted 2 weeks of my life doing absolutely nothing but just chillaxing and streaming series' and animes, particularly animes(geek). Well if u must know (yeah...all 3 of u), ive been watching Clannad, mushi-shi, 5 centimetres per second, whisper of the heart, the girl who leapt through time and zeitgeist <-----omg




I usually go grocery shopping once a week becuz friggin tesco is so far away and id have to use the uni bus which only operates on week days till forgot what time.....before i noticed, im at tesco again the week after and then today again. like omg gotta get my head in the game man.



daydreaming.....stoning....chillaxing....complacency....procrastination.....have been governing my almost non-existent life of a life here lol *bitch slaps self*



Its like jo said....flushing our education down the toilet when i really should be doing assignments and what not lol. man i sure do hope the lodgian last minute adrelinine kicks in like it used to again :S




On a side note, if u ever do reside in the uk for whatever reason.....stay as far away as u can from 'Natwest' : helpful banking (my arse!!). just opened a Lloyds account and should have done it ages ago.....ugh so frustrating

So, trying to get my mind off all the hustle n bustle n uncertainty, i decided to youtube this song which i cant get out of my head from the longest ever running musical les miserables which was probably the most tear-jerkingly powerful and mind-blowing song that took the cake in this musical in my opinion.

Would love to blog bout my oxford trip cuz that was the BOMB! from the delectably orgasmic oxford brookes hot chocolate with marshmellows, whipped cream and flake bar to the fantastic picturesque city gardens and views to the harry potter school induction and great hall film locations (didnt manage to find the library in time) to the creme de la creme.....'Jamies Italian'!! omgosh the truffle tagliatelle (was it?) was soooooooo goooood....mmmm. the restaurant was supposedly jamie oliver's first restaurant and the prices were darn reasonable lo amy has all the pics as my cam ran out of bat due to the earlier camwhoring sessions haha

im so totally going back to jamies....

so...went back to london that night from oxford and like the nxt day was spent watching les miserables with mel and yi chieh which was great! was expecting too much from it so i didnt get the full blown away effect as mebbe mel did since this was the longest running musical in the world. then we had some cinnabons which were ridiculously overpriced but are relatively bloody cheap in kl and camwhored at pic circus at night since the londonders nvr really take pics of london unless a tourist like me comes down lol

so as night fell, was suppose to go clubbing with mel, shih yang and kok ming at some posh club in mayfair but suddenly got some celeb go in at the same time as us then they close the whole club for that person and his/her peeps....celaka so we just chilled in some cheaper club in leicester sq with free entrance...danced like mad...then went for supper at 2 am. had fu-kin rice at special zone 1997....i kid u not thats the name lol was pretty good. thereafter, me and mel crashed at shih yangs place with both of them having clases early in the morning lol.

had my train to catch at 2 pm that day and literally had seconds to spare b4 the train departed.....scariest experience ever since the walk in price for the latter trains wouldve costed 184 pounds as opposed to the 9.90 one im paying

due to all that rushing and lack of sleep throughout the whole trip, im currently down with the sickness and its freeaing ass cold back here in manc. just today i had this bloody training programme whihc was mandatory to keeping my job and like mana tahu by the 4th session there was seriously gonna be an exam at the end of the day.....will blog bout it later. i think this is the longest post ive ever churned out lol

ppl were even building them on ppls cars lol!

But the whole city of london that day became the biggest playground known as school was out and everyone couldnt get into work. It really is endearing to see random snowmen around like these lol

The nxt morning, the snow storm that hit the southwest was something that occurred once in 20 yrs.....lucky me :P

However, i was suppose to head off to oxford with amy that day but all the tubes/trains/bus services were suspended due to the adverse weather

If u were wondering, yea this is what the canteen looks like....SUPER AWESOME MAN for a second there i almost forgot i was in the uk what with a huge crowd of malaysians around me in a typical office type canteen with amois/kakaks/fat wannabee mat rampit dudes serving malaysian food. yes and since it was an open house, food was being given out for free but we couldnt be bothered in the end cuz so many others were in for the free food as well and there was a never ending line....

Finally met up and made a huge unnecessary turn round the neighbourhood thx to someone b4 we finally reached the 7 pound p/n malaysian hall with some of the cheapest food in london lol

Continuing from where i left off from stellas', the nxt day we had our lodge reunion dinner. we were initially supposed to meet at trafalgar sq to see what the hub bub is all bout'. but lucky i din go cuz it was supposedly a total waste of time. So while waiting for them to meet me at bayswater to head to the malaysian hall for open house, i wandered around for a while and stumbled into a charming alleyway with a lion dance and an open house too but pai seh to go in lol.

k so after over 1 1/2 months of not posting anything, i decided its time to bring this blog back to life!

here i am at 2 am blogging away in london. 3 days ago marked the end of my 1st sem and man am i glad thats over. all the drama and the crap that was going on...you dont wanna know....or do you? lol :p

neway didnt really bother ranting bout it cuz those were times that were best forgotten, cept for the christmas break which i will be blogging bout when i find the time to.

so decided to head to london for a week to catch up with everyone and celebrate cny.

second time round, i took my time with the food department cuz i remmebr rushing through everything last time due to time constraints and also partly due to a certain somebody *cough* *cough* who couldnt make up her mind bout whther she wanted the juicy bag or not. lol sommore need me to buy it lol
